Hampi Art Labs was designed by Mumbai-based, award-winning architect Sameep Padora, Principal Architect at sP+a & Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at Cept University.
Mirroring elements from Hampi, the contours of the landscapes, the movement of the Tungabhadra river and the colours of the boulders, Padora pays tribute to the nature and heritage of the ancient place. It stands as an inspiration for creativity and colloquial collaborations, a space ‘made to make’. It is crafted for the comfort of artists and the art community, welcoming all to traverse along its walls.
“The Tungabadra River became a metaphor for movement through out site and each of the buildings became a riverine landscape.”
