Madhvi Subrahmanian

Madhvi-artist, writer, and curator is a passionate contributor to the arts. She is one of the founding members and co-curator of the Indian Ceramics Triennale and is also associated with various international arts organizations such as UNESCO, the International Academy of Ceramics (Geneva), and the Sculpture Society Singapore.

 

 Madhvi’s art practice has been informed, defined, and transformed by the transitions of her peripatetic life and her interest in pushing the boundaries of her material. Her installations are in several public/private spaces including a large-scale public artwork titled Birds Eye View at Bangalore Airport (T2). Her upcoming projects include public artwork for a subway station in Singapore. Institutions such as India Heritage Centre, Singapore, FuLe International Ceramic Art Museum, Shanxi province, China, and Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Centre, Japan, hold some of Madhvi’s works. 

 

Madhvi lives between Mumbai and Singapore and is represented by Gallery Chemould Prescott Road in Mumbai.
