Eve Lemesle is an arts consultant based between Mumbai and Barcelona with over 18 years of experience that cuts across multiple layers in the South Asian arts ecosystem. A graduate of La Sorbonne in arts management and diploma holder in South-Asia studies from INALCO (Paris), she moved permanently to Mumbai in 2009 forming India’s oldest & and first-of-its-kind arts management agency – What About Art. Lemesle has been instrumental in producing large-scale exhibitions that represent South Asia internationally at the Venice Biennale, Kochi Biennale, Shanghai Biennale, Dhaka Art Summit in Bangladesh, Qatar Museums, Alserkal Avenue, Musee Guimet, and Asia Now at La Monnaie de Paris, amongst others.

 

From 2012 to 2019, Lemesle ran the WAA artist residency in Mumbai, hosting more than 200 international artists and facilitating partnership networks with cultural institutes around the world. She is today the strategic advisor for Hampi Art Labs, a JSW Foundation initiative. Lemesle is a researcher at the Institute of Public Art at the University of Shanghai, and also currently consults with the Reliance group for the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre.
